CST is proud to be the first life sciences company to join 1% For The Planet, a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions. As part of our commitment, we donate 1% of our total annual revenue to conservation organizations around the world that are addressing our most pressing environmental issues.

CST has committed to achieving net zero emissions by our 30th anniversary in 2029. By demonstrating what is possible, we hope to inspire others to do the same.
While corporate goals are essential, we also encourage everyone to do their part. By participating in what may seem like small steps, like alternative modes of transportation, utilizing reusable shopping bags, and stopping unwanted paper mail, we all have the power to create a positive impact on our planet for future generations.

Some of what we do includes volunteering, our Grants Program, science scholarships, student internships, and even hosting art shows for local artists. Investing in our communities makes all of us better, which is one of our strongest corporate values.
Volunteering and helping our communities is a large part of who we are and we want to reward our employees for being so giving of their time. All full-time employees are eligible for one paid 8-hour day a year to volunteer. When you do more, they get more.

We do what we do to make the world a better place, but the awards are nice too.
Onsite Community Gardens
This program began as an employee-driven sustainability initiative. The Garden Club not only provides healthy organic produce for our employees but also is a great way for new and seasoned gardeners to learn tips and tricks for maintaining their gardens at home.
Electric Vehicle Incentive
To encourage and inspire our U.S. employees to lower their carbon emissions from commuting to and from work, we offer up to $10,000 to those who purchase an electric vehicle (EV) and up to $5,000 for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Similar benefits are available in Europe, Japan, and China.
Global Alternative Transportation Program (ATP)
As part of our ATP, if you are already helping our planet by walking, running, cycling, or carpooling to work, you can earn points towards a donation to an approved non-profit you are passionate about. If your role allows you to work from home, you can earn points too!
