The role... 

(Hours: 12pm - 8pm)

The Order Fulfillment Specialist I is a member of the Supply Chain team and is responsible for picking, packaging and shipping of biological products. Success as an Order Fulfillment specialist is measured by following department standard operating procedures, having keen attention to detail, dedication for delivering high picking accuracy, and working effectively in a team environment.

You'll have the opportunity to...

30%  Accurately pick international and domestic orders

• This is a primary function, involving the retrieval of items from storage locations to fulfill customer orders.

30%  Accurately package staged product in accordance with their specific shipping requirements

• This task focuses on preparing products for shipment, ensuring they are properly protected and comply with all carrier specifications.

30%  Accurately scan and label packages in shipping terminal and stage for carrier pickup

• This involves digitally tracking and preparing packages for handoff to the carrier.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Cross functional tasks and specialty projects.
• Maintain conformance with all relevant Quality Management System (QMS) policies.

10%  Maneuver pallets of coolers using electric pallet jack

• This task involves the safe and efficient movement of large quantities of products, which is a common daily duty in a warehouse.  

Who you are and what you bring to the team...

• High School diploma or high school equivalent.
• 1 year previous work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic computer knowledge and working ability with Gmail or other email application.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to work evenings and weekends when business necessitates (advanced notification will be provided).

Ideally, you have...

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus.
• Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine packaging/shipping related problems.
• Ability to work independently and exercise situational awareness.
• Results driven and proactive individual.

Physical Conditions/Physical Requirements...

• The ability to consistently lift and move items, often weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• The need to be on your feet for extended periods, walking short and  long distances within the facility.
• Sit, stand, use arms and hands to reach, touch, handle, or feel.
• Frequent movements that involve bending down to pick up items, stooping to access low shelves, and reaching overhead to retrieve products from high racks.
• Performing repetitive tasks such as picking, packing, filling and sorting items. 
• The  ability to operate, push and pull heavy pallets with pallet jackets.

This position has a starting hourly pay range of $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, which the company, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
